Payment Methods & Processing (U.S.)

Accepted payment methods

Level 4x4 accepts:

  • Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
  • Digital wallets (including PayPal)
  • Bank transfer (ACH) for approved orders (see “ACH terms”)
  • Buy now, pay later / financing (Klarna, if offered at checkout)
  • Gift cards or store credit (if applicable; see “Store credit terms”)

When you are charged

  • Card and wallet payments may be authorized at checkout and are captured when your order is accepted and released into fulfillment, or immediately for certain items.
  • Split shipments: If your order ships in multiple boxes/warehouses, Level 4x4 may capture payment when the first shipment is released (or by item as each ship group releases), depending on the payment provider configuration. Multi-warehouse shipping is common in this category and can result in deliveries on different days.
  • Backorders / special order items: If your item is not immediately available, Level 4x4 will disclose the expected ship timeframe when known and will follow applicable federal rules on shipment timing and delay notices (see “Backorders & shipping delays”).

Currency

All prices are displayed and charged in U.S. dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Sales tax

Sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address and applicable state/local rules. Some retailers characterize tax at checkout as an estimate and reserve the right to adjust at shipment; Level 4x4 should adopt the same clarity if its tax engine or ship-from scenario can change the final tax amount.

Fraud prevention and verification

To protect customers and our business, Level 4x4 may:

  • verify billing/shipping information,
  • require signature on delivery for high-value orders,
  • cancel or hold orders that appear to be fraudulent, and/or
  • request additional verification (e.g., ID check or confirmation of payment ownership).

If we cannot verify payment information or suspect fraud, we may cancel the order.

PCI / payment security

Level 4x4 uses a third-party payment processor and does not intentionally store full card numbers or sensitive authentication data on Level 4x4 systems.

PCI DSS (managed by the PCI Security Standards Council) provides security requirements for protecting payment account data, and it applies to merchants and others who process or can impact card data environments. We expect our payment service providers to maintain PCI DSS compliance; PCI SSC guidance specifically highlights that e-commerce merchants should ensure their payment service providers (including the payment service provider managing the payment process) are PCI DSS compliant.

We use third-party payment processors and do not intentionally store full card numbers or sensitive authentication data. Our payment service providers are expected to maintain PCI DSS compliance.

ACH terms

If Level 4x4 offers ACH:

  • ACH orders may require 10 business days to clear before shipment.
  • Orders paid by ACH may not be cancellable once funds are received and fulfillment has started.
  • Returned ACH orders are refunded to the originating bank account (unless otherwise required by law).

Financing / BNPL terms

If Level 4x4 offers BNPL/financing:

  • Financing is provided by third-party lenders and is subject to eligibility checks; APRs and terms are disclosed by the lender at checkout, and may range from promotional 0% APR to higher APRs depending on credit.
  • Level 4x4 does not control lender approval decisions.
