Get the Look You Want: Fit It Right the First Time
Buying new wheels should be the fun part — not the stressful part. At Level 4x4, we've built the whole process around one goal: making sure your wheels look exactly how you imagined and fit exactly as they should.
Here's how we make that happen:
- Select your vehicle — Year, Make, Model, Trim. Everything filters from there.
- Add your specs — diameter, width, offset, bolt pattern, finish. See only what actually fits.
- Fitment review before it ships — our team checks the critical measurements so clearance surprises don't follow you home.
- Running a lift, leveling kit, or a more aggressive offset? That's where things get interesting — and where getting it wrong gets expensive. Tell us your setup and we'll walk through clearance, rubbing risk, and the right hardware before you order.
The Only Wheel Sizing Guide You Actually Need
You shouldn't have to become a fitment engineer just to buy wheels. Here's what the numbers actually mean — explained the way a knowledgeable friend would, not a spec sheet. And yes — rims and wheels mean the same thing. We'll keep it that way.
Diameter — The "How Big" Number
This is the most visible measurement: 17", 18", 20", and so on. Bigger diameters tend to look more aggressive and can sharpen steering response, but they also mean a shorter tire sidewall — which trades some ride comfort for aesthetics.
The mistake to avoid: Going too big too fast can limit your tire options and make your ride noticeably harsher.
Width — The "How Wide" Number
Width changes how your truck or car sits — the wider the wheel, the more presence it has. But width also affects clearance to your suspension and fenders, especially if you're not running the right offset.
The mistake to avoid: Too wide without the right offset often means rubbing — on the fender, the suspension, or both.
Offset & Backspacing — The "Will It Rub?" Numbers
Offset tells you where the wheel's mounting surface sits relative to centerline — which moves the wheel in or out. Backspacing is the clearance between the mounting surface and the inside edge of the wheel. These two measurements are responsible for most fitment headaches.
The mistake to avoid: Too aggressive an offset pushes the tire outside the body line or rubs the fender — sometimes requiring trimming you didn't plan for.
Bolt Pattern & Lug Hardware — The "Will It Mount?" Numbers
Your bolt pattern has to match your vehicle's hub exactly. But the hardware matters just as much — wrong lug nuts or bolts can cause vibration or unsafe mounting even if the pattern lines up.
The mistake to avoid: A close-but-not-right bolt pattern or incorrect lug seat type means the wheel won't mount safely, full stop.
Center Bore — The "Will It Stay Centered?" Number
The center bore is the hole in the middle of the wheel that seats directly onto your hub. A proper hub-centric fit is what keeps the wheel truly centered and prevents vibration at speed.
The mistake to avoid: An oversized center bore may require hub rings — skip them and you may feel it every time you hit the freeway.
Not sure where to start? Select your vehicle — it's the fastest shortcut to a confident fitment without memorizing a single number.
Built Around Trucks and SUVs. Stocked for Everything Else
Trucks and SUVs are our home turf. We know the builds, the lift kits, the bolt patterns, the fitment quirks — and we stock wheels specifically with that in mind. Whether you're running stock height or have three inches of lift and a leveling kit, this is where we do our best work.
That said, our catalog doesn't stop at the tailgate. If you drive a car and want a clean upgrade — a sharper look, a better stance, something that actually turns heads on your commute — we've got you covered there too. Same attention to fitment, same range of brands and finishes, just dialed in for a different platform.

Wheels and Tires Together — Mounted, Balanced, Ready to Install
Pick your wheels. Pick your tires. We'll handle the rest.
A wheel and tire package means you choose the combo that fits your style and vehicle — and we mount, balance, and prep everything so it arrives ready to go straight to your installer. No sourcing tires separately, no back-and-forth, no surprises at the shop.
It's the same selection you'd get buying wheels and tires individually — just without the extra steps in between.

Wheels & Rims — Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know these wheels will actually fit my vehicle?
Enter your Year, Make, Model, and Trim, and our fitment specialists will verify full compatibility before your order ships — bolt pattern, offset, hub bore, and load rating included. If your vehicle has suspension modifications (lift kit, leveling kit, spacers, or similar), include those details at checkout so we can confirm clearance and stance. No surprises after installation is the goal.
Can I shop by vehicle instead of knowing all my specs upfront?
Yes — and that's exactly how most people should start. Select your vehicle and our system filters compatible options automatically. From there, you're just choosing how you want it to look: diameter, width, offset, and finish. If you want to go deeper on specs, we're here for that too.
Can I build my own custom set and have you verify fitment?
Absolutely. Select any wheels, add the tires you prefer, and provide your vehicle details. Our team will review fitment, tire sizing, load capacity, and overall compatibility before processing the order. If anything needs to be adjusted, we'll reach out before it ships — not after.
What's the difference between offset and backspacing?
Offset is the distance between the wheel's mounting surface and its centerline — it's what moves the wheel in or out relative to the fender. Backspacing measures the clearance between that mounting surface and the wheel's inner edge. Together they determine your stance and how "flush" or "poked" your setup looks. If you're going aggressive, these are the two numbers worth understanding before you order.
Will these wheels rub on my truck — stock height or lifted?
It depends on your wheel width, offset, tire size, and existing suspension setup. If you're going for an aggressive stance or a larger tire, reach out before you order. We'll give you a straight answer on lift height requirements, spacer recommendations, and any trimming that might be needed — so you know exactly what you're getting into before the wheels are on the truck.
How do I find my bolt pattern and current wheel size?
Check your owner's manual, the sticker inside your driver's door jamb, or the markings on your current wheels. Most vehicles also have well-documented bolt patterns by year and model. If you're not sure, select your vehicle on-site or message us — it takes about 30 seconds and prevents ordering the wrong fit.
What is center bore, and do I need hub rings?
Center bore is the hole at the center of the wheel that seats onto your hub. A hub-centric fit — where the center bore matches your hub exactly — keeps the wheel perfectly centered and helps prevent vibration. If your wheel's center bore is slightly larger than your hub, hub rings close the gap. Skip them and you might feel low-frequency vibration at highway speed.
Are wheel & tire packages shipped mounted and balanced?
Yes. Every complete wheel & tire package is professionally mounted, precision balanced, and inspected before it leaves our facility. Your setup arrives ready to install — no additional mounting or balancing required at the shop.
What's included in the price?
Wheels-only orders include wheels only. Tires-only orders include tires only. A wheel & tire package includes wheels, tires, professional mounting, precision balancing, and pre-shipment inspection. Mounting and balancing are always included in package pricing — no hidden add-ons at checkout.
Do I need new lug nuts when I buy new wheels?
Almost always, yes. OEM lug nuts typically won’t seat correctly on aftermarket wheels. Different wheels use different lug seat types (tapered/conical, flat, or ball), and the wrong hardware can cause vibration, loosening, or unsafe mounting even if the bolt pattern matches. We offer a complete lug nut set for $60 with an optional locking option, and we’ll confirm the correct hardware for your exact wheels before shipment.
Is TPMS included? Will I get a warning light?
TPMS sensors are not included by default, but you can add a set of 4 sensors at checkout for $160. If added, we install and program them before shipment so your vehicle won't display a warning light. If you plan to reuse your factory sensors, confirm compatibility with your vehicle before ordering.
Can you help me find an installer?
We're an online retailer, not a physical shop — but we can absolutely help you prepare for the installation visit. If you're searching for a wheels shop near me or a rims shop that handles mounting and balancing, ask specifically for: mounting + balancing, torque to spec with a torque wrench (not an impact gun alone), and a post-install clearance check for rubbing.
Do I need a wheel alignment after installing new wheels or tires?
Not always required for a straight wheel swap, but it's worth doing if you also changed tire size, installed suspension components, notice the vehicle pulling, or see uneven tire wear developing. A reputable wheel alignment shop will protect your investment and keep handling predictable — especially if anything else in the suspension or steering has changed.
Is shipping free? How long does delivery take?
Shipping is included for the Lower 48 United States at the advertised price. Complete packages typically require 2–3 weeks for processing, packaging, and delivery. Timing can vary based on product availability, custom orders, and destination. For international shipping, contact us directly — international buyers are responsible for all applicable duties, taxes, and freight charges.
What do I do if my order arrives damaged?
Inspect everything before you sign for a freight delivery. If damage is visible, note it on the delivery documents, photograph it, and contact us immediately. For UPS or FedEx Ground shipments, a signature may not be required — inspect your order as soon as it arrives. Damage must be reported within 5 business days of delivery. Reporting outside that window may affect your claim eligibility.
What's your return policy?
Returned items must be unused and in new condition, and return authorization is required before sending anything back. Restocking fees of up to 30% may apply unless the error was ours. For orders outside the Lower 48 U.S., the customer may be responsible for return shipping, repackaging, and transportation costs. Review our full Return Policy page before initiating a return.
What warranty do the wheels and tires carry?
All wheels and tires carry the full manufacturer's warranty. If you're returning a product without a warranty claim or verified defect, return shipping is the buyer's responsibility and restocking fees may apply at the manufacturer's discretion. To initiate a warranty claim, contact our Warranty Department directly.
